both thrift stores like a big gram bag
many of the items you find there is simply junk but sometimes just sometimes you discover an invaluable Gem and that's exactly what happened to this Charleston woman Lauren was a single mother of two sweet teenage boys raising her two big Sons by herself was tough she worked two jobs a day and yet was somehow able to be ready at 6 PM sharp every day with pans full of hot food money had always been a problem so purchases at the thrift store were necessary then she saw these shoes genuine Nikes in reasonable condition and for only 10 euros she immediately paid for these sneakers and proudly presented them to her youngest son when she saw was written on the label Lauren burst into tears it was Friday morning 11 45 a.m. when it happened Lauren had already been to the thrift store twice that week it was a huge building with according to the website over 50 000 items and with a tight monthly budget searching for that valuable needle in a haystack was more than worth it a few days ago she already found a nicer blouse for herself and bought a new school bag for her oldest son for only two Euros but when she found these shoes she was 10 times happier but the shoes had a big surprise in store door for her she picked up the shoes and looked at them from all sides they were a little dirty but nothing a brush and some green soap couldn't fix they look like they've barely been warned so she had to have them Benjamin her youngest son of 14 had been wearing the same shoes for over a year and before that his older brother Ben wore them too Benjamin always got the pass-throughs from his older brother he didn't like it but understood that his mother didn't have enough money to buy new things for both of them Benjamin really deserved his own pair Lauren thought and for just 10 euros she couldn't leave these Nikes behind but soon she would discover the real value of these sneakers full of Pride she placed the shoes on the table and waited for her son to come home from school he opened the door and Lauren's size eyes get big and then he saw the sneakers Wow real Nike Dunks Nike Dunks were a special kind of sneaker that used to be associated with basketball although they used more advanced athletic shoes today these shoes were still very popular due to their nostalgic value Lauren clearly got the idea that she made a good purchase and Benjamin was overjoyed and immediately put the shoes on but then his facial expression suddenly changed as he looked at his feet Benjamin called out I I feel something strange under my foot he took off the shoes and looked inside in the first shoe there was nothing to see but in the other shoe a tiny car was sticking out from under the footbed the footbed was stuck with glue it was a waste to demolish the shoe so pulling it off the footbed clearly hurt his heart but walking in shoes with the card stuck in it would hurt his foot after a while so just leaving it in wasn't an option carefully he lifted the footbed slightly exposing the car it was slightly discolored from the years the shoe was old but you could still clearly read what it said first it listed a year of production 1984. they were pretty old shoes both mother and son were Amazed by that but that wasn't all Benjamin Had mistaken the type of shoe this was not the widely known dunk model but the very rare Air Force One model a type of shoe that was developed worn and promoted by the best basketball player of all time Michael Jordan man that wasn't dull on the label was his signature and a phone number now both mother and son had become quite curious so while Lauren carefully polished the shoes Benjamin picked up the phone and dialed a number listed on the card he got a man on the line and not just any man it was the owner of the Nike Museum this man had started collecting rare shoes in his teens and now had the largest collection of rare Nikes in the world but what was his phone number doing in this shoe the voice on the other end of the line sounded confused at first the man wondered how Benjamin had gotten his number but when he heard what he was calling for a small Cry Of Happiness sounded from the other end of the line had black Nike Air Force One shoes and my card was in the soul please come to the Museum of Chicago as soon as possible you have no idea what you have in front of you Lauren and Benjamin lived in the suburb of Chicago and decided to get in the car right away they had no idea yet what bizarre results this trip would bring the two curious shoe owners arrived at the Museum it was huge Benjamin had never seen so many shoes together he turned over the price tag hanging on one of the shoes and saw three zeros written on it unbelievable he'd never seen such expensive pairs of shoes before it was quite bizarre what kind of value had been collected there the owner of the museum hardly asked for the sneaker that Lauren and Benjamin had in their possession he inspected it for minutes and looked at both of them obviously in shock do you guys even know who this shoe belongs to the shoes Lauren had unwittingly found for a bargain warper has the rarest shoes of all these were in fact the shoes of the one and only Michael Jordan they were the first real Air Jordans worn by Michael in the now blocked Air Jordan commercial in 1984. the shoe is worth more than a thousand and was once destined for this Museum however it had mysteriously disappeared during shipment thankfully the destination of the shoe the museum and the phone number could be found on the card inside the shoe hence how Lauren and Benjamin were able to get in contact with a collector he was over a joy to finally have his showpiece back so he decided to do something incredible for Lauren and Benjamin The Collector obviously got the shoe for his Museum after all he was the official owner but he didn't leave them empty-handed Benjamin got to pick out a pair of rare Nike Dunks worth thousands of dollars he also gave Lauren a finder's fee of thousands with this the poor mother could buy food drinks and clothes for her family for the next few years what a bizarre fun and what a wonderful end result.
